Dunkin’ moves into new location on Stillwater Avenue

OLD TOWN, Maine — A new Dunkin’ store opened on Stillwater Avenue last weekend, shortly after moving from a previous location down the street.

The new store is located at 975 Stillwater, which previously housed Tim Horton’s. The restaurant abruptly closed down in April 2019.

The Dunkin’ Brand confirmed that a local operator planned to open a store in the location last November. As a result, one of the two former Dunkin’ stores on the street — 575 Stillwater — was closed as of Friday, March 5.

Signs announcing the closure were posted around the building and redirected customers to the new store.

It is not clear whether the former Dunkin’ property will be sold. The Dunkin’ Brand did not respond to a request for comments on this story.

Correction: An earlier version of this story misstated the address of a former Dunkin’ store on Stillwater Avenue. It has been corrected to reflect the accurate address.
