Veazie elects new sewer trustee in only contested race

VEAZIE, Maine — Voters elected a new trustee to sit on the Veazie Sewer District in the only contested race during elections on Tuesday, June 4. 

Anthony Michaud will replace outgoing trustee Jim Parker, who worked with the Veazie Sewer District for nearly 50 years including two terms as a trustee, according to the town. Sewer trustees are elected to serve three-year terms. Voters also reelected Chris Bagley to sit on the Town Council for the next three years and Wilhem Alex Friess, William Reed and Valli Vel to serve on the School Committee. 

Bagley served as the council chairperson during this past term.
