Body recovered from Penobscot River identified as missing Veazie man

The body found in the Penobscot River near Verona Island on Wednesday has been identified as a Veazie man who has been missing since January, according to the Veazie Police Department. 

Ryan Lamontagne, 21, was last seen on New Year’s Day after leaving his apartment without telling anyone where he was going and was reported missing on Jan. 4. His death does not appear suspicious, police said.
