BANGOR:
• Sunday Bunny Tales at The Briar Patch Bookstore: Miss Abby will read stories and lead a small activity geared toward 3-8 year olds, 11 a.m.-noon, every Sunday, 27 Central St. 941-0255.
• Maine Discovery Museum, 74 Main St., 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Tuesday-Saturday; noon-5 p.m. Sunday. $10 person, $8.50 seniors/military. Closed Mondays unless school holiday. Free to museum members and those under age 1. 262-7200.

Dance
BREWER:
•Bangor Singles Club sponsors dances the first and third Fridays of the month 7-11 p.m. upstairs at the Brewer Eagles Club.
• Bangor Area Recovery Network chem-free dance, 8 p.m. Saturdays, BARN, 142 Center St.

HAMPDEN:
• Come visit the Le-Vi Rounders Square Dance Club on Monday nights at 6:30 for a half hour introduction to square dancing at no charge. We meet at the Citizens of Maine building at 177 Cold Brook Road. Call Bob-Brown at 207-447-0094.

BANGOR:
• Bangor Farmers Market every Sunday 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. May-Thanksgiving on Harlow St. across from the public library.
• European Farmers’ Market, 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Saturdays, 117 Buck St. at Sunnyside Greenhouse, year-round.

HAMPDEN:
• Hampden Farmers Market, 2-5:30 p.m. Fridays, St. Matthews Church Western Avenue

ORONO:

Fairs & Fundraisers
BANGOR:
• The Attic, 54 Cumberland Street. Clothing, household goods, games, puzzles, books and furniture. All proceeds benefit All Saints Catholic School. Hours, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Monday to Saturday. If schools are closed, so is the Attic.
• The Women with Purpose group of Bangor Nazarene Church selling cookbook “Cooking with Purpose” to raise money for a mission trip to Guatemala to build a church there and also to help local missions. $10 by contacting anyone in the group or calling the church at 942-7216.
• Competitive Cribbage with the Penobscot Peggers. 5:30 p.m. Mondays. Beginners welcome. Games start at 6 p.m. Seasons, 427 Main St.

HAMPDEN:
• Whitcomb Baker VFW Post 4633 Bingo every Friday night. Doors open 4:30 p.m.; early bird Bingo 6 p.m. 41 Canoe Club Road.

OLD TOWN:
• The Holy Family Thrift Shop, 33 Carroll Street, hours are as follows: Wednesdays 9 a.m.-1 p.m., Thursdays 10 a.m.-2 p.m. and Saturdays 10 a.m.-1 p.m.. We accept donations of clothing and small household items, no furniture, TV’s, computers. Please put donations in plastic bags. If the donation box is full please do not leave them outside. ORONO:

BANGOR:

HAMPDEN:

STILLWATER:
• Stillwater TOPS has restarted its weekly weigh-ins on Thursdays from 5:30-6 p.m. at the Stillwater Federated Church on Bennoch Road. BANGOR:
• The First United Methodist Church of Bangor will be hosting a free drive-thru community meal on Thursdays from 4-6 p.m.
• Dorothy Day Soup Kitchen free meal, 11:45 a.m.-1 p.m. daily; breakfast, 8:30 a.m. Sundays, The Salvation Army, 65 South Park St. 941-2990.
• Free community meal, 12 p.m. Sundays, Columbia Street Baptist Church, 63 Columbia St. 945-6616.
• Free community baked bean and casserole lunch, noon first Saturday of each month. Hammond Street Congregational Church, UCC, corner of Hammond and High Streets. Attendees also receive a bag lunch for later.

• The People Streetlight Outreach, a non-profit applicant in Bangor, serves meals Monday to Sunday at 1 p.m. (weather permitting) in Bangor for the homeless and food insecure off Broad Street, in front of the BDN building next to Pickering Square. We also distribute donated clothing and blankets, as well as often having a food pantry.

HAMPDEN:
•The Hampden Historical Society’s Kinsley House Museum and Archives are again open to the public. Tuesdays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and/or by appointment through October, 83 Main Road South. ORONO:

•Hearts in Harmony, a choral group of women of all ages, rehearses on Tuesday evenings at 6 p.m. in the Community Room of the Lutheran Church on Essex St. in Bangor.
