Maine Forestry Service investigating Bradley wildfire
BRADLEY, Maine — The Maine Forestry Service is investigating a two-acre wildfire that occurred at 36 Baker Brook Road Sunday afternoon.
Bradley Fire Department and the forest service both responded to the call about the fire that was reported at 1:30 p.m., according to Bradley Fire Chief Eric Gifford. The fire was discovered in a highly wooded area, just beyond a gravel pit.
A forest service helicopter was observing the area but didn’t drop any water on the fire. “We had plenty of water and manpower,” he said.
There were no injuries.
Parts of southern and central Maine experienced high fire danger on Monday afternoon, according to the state forestry department’s wildfire danger report.
