CROSS COUNTRY: The Old Town girls cross country team finished in sixth place at the Festival of Champions meet on Saturday, Oct. 3 at Belfast Area High School. Senior Izabelle Trefts finished 15th and sophomore Annie Roach came in ninth. The boys team finished in eighth place, led by freshman Ethan Road in 15th and junior Philip Alyokhin in 19th place. 

FOOTBALL: The Old Town Coyotes opened up the season with a 12-7 win over the John Bapst Crusaders on Tuesday, Sept. 29, in the modified 7-on-7 flag football season. The junior varsity/linemen team ended in a 6-6 tie earlier in the night. 

SOCCER: The Orono Red Riots and the Old Town Coyotes faced off for their senior night games this week. The girls played each other on Thursday, Oct. 1, with Orono taking home a 2-0 win over Old Town. The Coyotes junior varsity team won 5-0. 

The boys teams played against each other on Friday, Oct. 2, with the Red Riots posting a 5-1 win over the Coyotes. The Orono boys junior varsity team also shut out Old Town with an 11-0 win. Old Town will face off against Bangor Christian Schools on Tuesday, Oct. 6. 

FIELD HOCKEY: The Coyotes beat out the Red Riots in a 3-2 win in double overtime on Thursday, Oct. 1. The junior varsity took home a 6-0 win against Orono, as well. Old Town also won its second game of the week against the Brewer Witches on Saturday, Oct. 3. Junior varsity beat out the Witches 3-1. 

GOLF: The Coyotes headed to Hermon Meadows at the beginning of the week for their match against the Hermon Hawks and the Mattanawcook Lynx. Hermon finished with 177, Old Town, 184 and Mattanawcook 189.
