This week in sports — Oct. 19, 2020

FIELD HOCKEY: The Old Town varsity team shutout the Bangor Rams on Thursday night with a 5-0 win. They will face off against John Bapst at 3:30 on Tuesday, Oct. 20 and Orono at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 22.

SOCCER: The boys varsity team struck out against John Bapst in a 7-1 loss on Thursday night. The girls varsity team will face off against Orono at 3:30 p.m. Thursday. The boys teams will play Orono on Friday evening beginning at 3:30 p.m. 

FOOTBALL: The Coyotes’ game against the Hampden Academy Broncos Tuesday was canceled due to poor weather conditions. Old Town is scheduled to play Hampden at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 21 and Brewer at 6 p.m. Friday, Oct. 23.

Due to rain on Saturday, Oct. 17, the Old Town girls and boys soccer games against Hermon were canceled and rescheduled for Saturday, Oct. 24. The boys varsity team is expected to play at noon, following the junior varsity’s game at 10 a.m. The girls junior varsity team will play at 2:30 p.m. with the varsity game scheduled for 4:30 p.m.
